Frequently Asked Questions regarding Press Arrangements for the AELW
Accreditation, Booth Reservation and Visas

Yes. For accreditation, you will receive an email informing you of the receipt and accreditation of the submission of your application. You can also login to check on the status of your application in the APEC media portal. The team will reach out to you only if there is an issue with your application. If there is no issue, you will be able to pick up your badge at the designated times and places in the Media Kit – during 10-11 November at the Rama VI Rd. entrance of the MFA during 10:00-17:00 hrs. and from 13-19 November at Modena by Fraser Bangkok Hotel during 08.30-17.00 hrs.. For booth reservation, final booth assignments will be informed to the requesting agency by email on Tuesday, 25 October 2022 at 17:00 hrs.
- Can official photographers who are in the official delegation list register as both delegate and press?
No. They must register as press. This is to ensure that they can use their cameras (after such equipment is screened and tagged for security reasons). It also means they will be restricted to areas and times designated for press. If they are registered as delegates, although they will be able to travel with other delegates, they will not be able to use cameras/press equipment.
- Is there on-site registration?
No. All press must register in advance of the AELW.
- Do press representatives who are nationals of a country under a visa exemption scheme with Thailand still need to apply for a visa for the AELW?
Yes. They must enter Thailand with the appropriate visa, and present proof of their completed registration for the AELW along with their visa application at the Royal Thai Embassies/Royal Thai Consulates-General. Press covering the AELW will be granted the Non-Immigrant Visa Category “M”.
